Asia is export target

IRELAND'S exports to Asia could be increased by €10bn every year if the trading strategy goes ahead.

The Irish Exporters' Association (IEA) said that currently 4pc of Ireland's total exports go to Asia, and chairman Colin Lawlor said that the Asia Trade agenda is an ambitious one that cannot be achieved overnight. But the Asia Trade Strategy 2011-2015 said that Irish exporters will "aim high, much higher than in the past"
