Argos launches annual toy exchange DRIVE

Argos, one of Ireland's leading toy retailers, has launched its annual Toy Exchange in an effort to support families and charities throughout Ireland at Christmas.

The initiative encourages parents and children to donate their unwanted toys in Argos stores nationwide.

All donations received will be passed on to local charities and then sold in their retail stores to raise funds.

From today, 'donation stations' will be in operation across 40 Argos stores throughout Ireland.

People will be able to donate their toys in exchange for a €5 voucher (per donation, not per toy) that can be spent on new items, once customers spend a minimum of €35.

TV presenter Tess Daly is taking part in this year's event.

"It's an incredibly worthwhile cause and one which can help make Christmas that little bit more special for families across Ireland. So I would encourage you all to pop down to your local Argos store and get donating," Ms Daly said.

"Each year, Argos' Toy Exchange raises thousands of euros worth of toy donations...we're committed to bringing happiness to every family and making this the most successful year yet," Argos spokesman Andy McClelland said.
