Anger over CEO bonus

AER Lingus staff representatives have reacted with anger over a €500,000 bonus doled out to the company's chief executive.

The airline revealed that its CEO Christoph Mueller took home a pay packet of more than €1.1m in the year that was mired with staff strikes and redundancies.

SIPTU, which represents more than 1,500 Aer Lingus staff, said they were angry at the "exorbitant" payments to Mr Mueller that were made "on the back of their labour".
