ANCHORMAN star David Koechner was in town for GAA, a new role as a Viking and a few pints of the black stuff.
The stetson-wearing actor who plays sports-mad Champ Kind in the hit movie painted the town red with some new Irish pals - hurlers from Templeogue.
Paul Mangan from St Jude's GAA club said the actor was "handy" with a hurl.
He attended a friendly match between the club and a Wicklow team on Thursday and said it was "amazing". The club later presented him with a jersey and a hurl.
Koechner and his wife, Leigh, have been in Dublin sampling the culture.
But no visit to the capital is complete without taking a Viking Splash tour to see the sights from land and Liffey.
Koechner also posed for a selfie outside Toner's in Baggot Street and took to Twitter to agree with claims that it serves the best Guinness.
The star enjoyed a few pints with fellow cast members Steve Carrell, Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd when they were in town last December for the Irish premiere of the Anchorman sequel.
