Alleged burglar 'armed with spanners'

A MAN who allegedly burgled a house while armed with two spanners has been sent forward for trial.

David Paget (34), of Dromheath Grove in Ladyswell, appeared before Blanchardstown district court charged with burglary at Castlecurragh Park in Mulhuddart on April 17 last.

He is also accused of possession of a spanner and an adjustable spanner and with damaging two rear bedroom windows at a house at Castlecurragh Park.

State solicitor Caroline Deasy said the book of evidence was ready and had been served on the accused, who goes forward to the next sittings of Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Judge David McHugh gave Mr Paget the formal alibi caution and assigned solicitor John O'Doherty on free legal aid.
