All aboard for Africa Day fun

DUBLIN Bus has jumped on board as lead sponsor of Africa Day this year.

The company is behind the cultural event in Dublin this weekend – this year marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of the African Union.

Ireland's flagship Africa Day will include a free family festival in the grounds of Farmleigh Estate, in the Phoenix Park, which will take place this Sunday, May 26.

Salome Mbugua, pictured above, centre, director of AkiDwa, with saxophonist Gboyega Akerele, of the Colours of Africa Foundation launched the full line-up for the festival. Dublin Bus will provide a free shuttle bus service on the day.
