Union members at Dublin Airport Authority have voted to accept a €40m cost reduction programme for staff.
The move will see 275 permanent jobs and 100 temporary positions go across the three airports in Dublin, Cork and Shannon.
The vote was carried by 1,121 votes in favour to 541 against during a Siptu vote, which means that a pay freeze will be introduced for the rest of the staff. Union officials had strongly recommended acceptance. The proposal is also being voted on by unions Impact and Mandate, but it is expected that they will also agree.
