Aer Lingus still runs inflight advert using voice of gerry

TRAVELLERS flying to the US with Aer Lingus will continue to hear Gerry's voice -- as he is still fronting a charity campaign in the air.

The Unicef Change For Good ad asks passengers to donate change to help needy children worldwide.

But now the radio star is continuing to work for the charity posthumously, as Aer Lingus continues to run the ad. It is expected to run for another month, as Aer Lingus confirmed to the Herald that it won't be reviewed till June.

Gerry's grieving partner Melanie Verwoerd is the Executive Director of Unicef Ireland and he was a strong supporter of its work.

A spokesperson for Aer Lingus said: "We are saddened by the untimely death of Gerry Ryan, and are extremely grateful that Gerry supported the Unicef Change for Good appeal."
