Actor's final scenes hit the screen

The trailer for the last Hunger Games movie has launched, showing some of the final footage captured of actor Philip Seymour Hoffman.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 trailer shows glimpses of the last scenes filmed by Hoffman before his death in February 2014.

In a very brief moment, he is seen standing with his face to the camera and tears brimming in his eyes.

His role as Plutarch Heavensbee was one of his final roles before his death.

In an interview with HuffPost Live last year, director Francis Lawrence spoke about not using CGI following the loss of Hoffman.

He said: "He had two scenes with dialogue that were left and we decided we didn't want to try any digital trickery with him, so we rewrote his scenes and gave the dialogue to other actors."

The trailer opens with a voiceover from Donald Sutherland, who plays the president of Panem, Coriolanus Snow.

"I've been watching you and you watching me," he tells Jennifer Lawrence's character, Katniss Everdeen.

This movie marks the final instalment which will see an epic battle erupt as Katniss leads a revolution to end all revolutions.

With traps everywhere and unseen enemies confronting them from all angles, they soon realise the stage is set for "the 76th Hunger Games".

Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 is released in UK cinemas on November 19.
