A MOTORCYCLIST was killed after he was involved in a collision with a car in a west Dublin industrial estate.

A MOTORCYCLIST was killed after he was involved in a collision with a car in a west Dublin industrial estate.

The 44-year-old man, who was from Co Wicklow, was on the Ballymount Road Lower, In Walkinstown, at around 2.35pm when he was involved in a collision with a car.

He was taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

A 60-year-old woman was driving the car that was involved In the collision. She was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Garda forensic collision investigators examined the scene and put diversions in place. The coroner was notified.

Gardai in Crumlin have appealed for any witnesses to the crash to contact them.
