70 new jobs in the tourism and software sectors

THERE was positive employment news in the tourism and software sectors as a total of 70 new jobs are set to come on stream.

Ray Nolan's Web Reservations International (WRI) is creating 50 new jobs, mainly in IT and software development.

The company, which currently employs 100 people, is responsible for up to €350m worth of accommodation and has revenues of €38m.

Software firm Lumension announced the creation of 20 jobs in Galway. The company, which already employs 30 people in the city, develops software to help protect computer data.
