€65m for jobs

A FURTHER 1,213 companies in Ireland will receive support to a combined value of €64.9m under the Second Call of the Employment Subsidy Scheme.

This brings the total number of jobs supported under the scheme to 100,000, according to the Tanaiste and Enterprise Minister Mary Coughlan. Each of the companies have committed to retaining an agreed level of employees until December 2010.

This latest round of support will either directly or indirectly support 66,567 jobs until the end of the year.
