€300,000 spend on five-day trip here boosts holiday firm
Business is booming for the Irish holiday firm to the stars - and their bank balance was recently boosted by a group of eight Americans spending €300,000 on a five-day luxury holiday.
The extravagant trip was customised by Dublin-based Adams and Butler and MD of the business Siobhan Byrne Learat said: "They took a lot of helicopters around Ireland."
Ms Byrne Learat said that the group of men was here to celebrate a 50th birthday and their activities included shooting deer in Co Fermanagh, playing a round of golf at the Old Head of Kinsale course and staying at the five-star Ashford Castle.

Ms Byrne Learat said that the €300,000 did not include the cost of flying and departing from Ireland by private jet.
She was commenting on new accounts which showed that Adams and Butler last year enjoyed increased profits.
The figures revealed that accumulated profits at the business - which arranged the itinerary of Kanye West's and Kim Kardashian's low-profile honeymoon here - increased from €783,345 to €998,975.
In the 12 months to the end of last October, Adams and Butler's cash pile increased from €959,530 to €1.03m.
In the past, Adams and Butler has looked after the needs of the late Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift and actor Harrison Ford, along with chief executives of US blue-chip companies.
Ms Byrne Learat said that this year it has co-ordinated holidays here for two Hollywood actresses "at the top of their game".
She said that non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) signed with the two prevented her from disclosing their identities but said that one actress came for three days and ended up staying for nine.
Ms Byrne Learat said that the firm last year moved to a larger office and employed 15 at peak time over the summer months.
The company specialises in customised holidays and Ms Learat Byrne said that their largest market was the US.
It never provides the same itinerary twice and some of the events organised for clients include having lunch with a lord, shooting pheasant with an earl and flying by helicopter to have dinner in a cave.
