THE Taoiseach and his ministers have landed the taxpayer with a €108,000 foreign travel bill for the first nine months of the year, new figures reveal.
It's emerged that Enda Kenny clocked up a larger travel bill than his predecessor Brian Cowen did in 2010-- with the number and cost of trips being increased by a third.
Some €108,000 has been forked out on foreign travel since January of this year, while Cowen's office spent just €64,000 on foreign travel in the first nine months of 2010.
Under Kenny, some €33,000 was spent on car and limousine hire during trips to Washington, London, Switzerland New York, Beijing and Brussels.
The overall figure does not include the cost of using the two government jets.
