100 new aviation jobs

A TOTAL of 50 new jobs will come on stream at aircraft maintenance firm Dublin Aerospace, after it signed a new multimillion euro contract with Aer Lingus.

Dublin Aerospace, which was founded by former Ryanair executive Conor McCarthy, was awarded the contract for base maintenance servicing of 12 Airbus A320 aircraft for the winter season 2010/2011.

Meanwhile, Sky Handling Partner, one of the State's biggest ground-handling companies, has created 50 new jobs at Dublin airport, bringing its employee numbers to 300.
