The group said that the new jobs will involve advanced statistical modelling for companies and governments.

Accenture already employs 1,300 people in Ireland and the 100 IDA jobs are set to come on stream over the next four years.

It currently operates three separate centres in Grand Canal Harbour and Grand Canal Street in Dublin, and is recruiting staff with analytical and statistics experience from graduate to PhD level.

In addition to management consultancy, Accenture provides technology services and outsourcing, and has more than 200,000 employees in 120 countries. It is headquartered in New York but since last year it has been incorporated in Ireland.

Separately, it was revealed that international law firm is planning to create 50 jobs in the city over the next 13 months.
