Murder trial set back four weeks

Judge Michael Walsh granted the adjournment after hearing the State was waiting for additional statements before a book of evidence can be completed.

He remanded the defendants on continuing bail again in Dublin District Court.

The case against a seventh man accused of seriously assaulting Mr Creighton (20) was also adjourned.

Dale Creighton died after being assaulted at the footbridge at St Dominic's Road, Tallaght, on January 1, 2014.

Jail for 13 who planned attack

A Saudi court has sentenced 13 people to prison for planning a series of attacks against US forces in Qatar and Kuwait.

The Saudi Press Agency said the group includes 11 Saudis, a Qatari and an Afghan. They were given varying sentences of between 18 months to 30 years in prison.

The verdict stated the 41-person cell planned to attack US troops in Qatar with grenades, rockets and mortar fire.

Russians to do space walk

For the third week in a row, astronauts are spacewalking up at the International Space Station. This time, it's on the Russian side of the house.

Russians Maxim Suraev and Alexander Samokutyaev will double as trash men during the six-hour excursion.

They will remove and heave overboard an old science experiment as well as two antennas.

Russian Mission Control outside Moscow is supervising all the action 420km up.

Footballer in jail for €206k fraud

A failed footballer who enjoyed a champagne lifestyle by pretending to be a Premier League star has been jailed for four years for a £163,000 (€206,000) fraud.

Medi Abalimba (25) had earned around £20,000 a week at one stage with Derby County, but slipped down the leagues.

But he continued living the high life by passing himself off as Chelsea player Gael Kakuta.
