Mum-to-be Jodi vows to juggle band life with motherhood
JODI Albert has vowed to continue her blossoming pop career once she becomes a mother.
The singer (28) and her hubby, Westlife's Kian Egan (31), took to their Twitter pages yesterday to announce their delight at being pregnant with their first baby.
The loved-up showbiz couple, who married at an intimate ceremony on Turtle Beach in the Caribbean in May 2009, will welcome their child into the world in early 2012.
And it looks like yummy mummy-to-be Jodi has no plans to slow down once she's a mum, with pals explaining how she's determined to balance the two roles.
"Jodi will absolutely be continuing with Wonderland," said a close friend.
"She and the rest of the girls have worked very hard to achieve the success they have now and she has no intention of walking away from that.
"The Wonderland girls are all thrilled for her and Kian and looking forward to having a new addition to their extended family.
"Right now, Jodi and Kian are just concentrating on the pregnancy and celebrating the fact that they're expecting their first child.
"Once the baby arrives they will figure out how to balance them being on the road a lot with their careers and having a family," they added.
Former Hollyoaks actress Jodi last night posted a message on Twitter thanking friends and fans for their well wishes.
"Thank you so much to everyone for all the excitement and congrats messages about our baby news. We can't wait," she wrote.
Earlier that day the Liverpool native revealed how the couple "are so happy and cannot wait to be parents".
Jodi and the rest of her Wonderland bandmates -- Sharon Condon, Corrina Durran, Leigh Learmont and Kasey Smith -- are currently at home in Ireland.
The group, which is managed by Louis Walsh and Jodi's husband Kian, last week performed at the Dunbrody Festival in New Ross, where teen sensations Jedward also took to the stage.
