Moy Park profits joy
POULTRY group Moy Park recorded a 50pc jump in pretax profits last year, rising to £27.8m (€32m).
The Northern Ireland-based group was boosted by the acquisition of rival O'Kane Poultry during the year.
Turnover at Moy Park, which is owned by Brazilian giant Marfig, increased by 18pc to £921.1m (€10.05m) last year.
The company said "strong sales growth" as well as the acquisition had helped deliver the uplift in sales and profits.
