Mother called gardai on son

A CONCERNED mother was forced to call the gardai after her son got into a drunken fight in the family home and damaged a desktop computer, a court heard.

Stephen Callaghan (23) claimed that he was pushed against the computer during the course of an argument.

Judge Paul Kelly ordered Callaghan to attend an alcohol awareness course, saying he will leave him without a conviction if he completed it.

The defendant admitted before Dun Laoghaire District Court to a charge of criminal damage at his family home at Meadowlands Park in Deansgrange in February last. The case was adjourned.
