Most companies don't believe in 4-year plan
Claire Murphy
A TOTAL of 80pc of business people believe that the Budget will be passed, but their confidence in the Government has been dented.
Less than a third of businesses believe that the Government's four-year plan will restore competitiveness and increase job growth.
And the majority believe that the plan has the potential to damage Ireland's recovery.
A survey from Ernst & Young also found that half of respondents believe that liquidity remains their top concern following a review of the four-year plan's details. In addition to liquidity, around one quarter of those surveyed said other concerns were the impact of changes to PRSI, and details around proposed VAT increases.
