More petrol price hikes
HARD-PRESSED motorists are facing another price hike at the pumps within the next few days due to the volatile situation in Libya.
World oil prices were rising again today as western countries continued military operations in Libya and there was growing unrest in oil-rich Saudi Arabia.
Prices have already gone past the €1.50-a-litre barrier.
The average price of petrol this month has been a record €1.494 a litre while diesel is also at an all-time high of €1.45, according to an AA survey published last week.
London Brent crude was trading at US$116.2 (€71) a barrel and NYMEX crude oil was around US$105 (€70) a barrel.
