McDonald's sales fall
McDonald's has said that its global restaurant sales fell for the first time in almost a decade.
The US-based firm reported that sales at outlets open at least 13 months dropped 1.8pc for the month.
In Europe and the US, the corresponding figure was 2.2pc.
A fall in sales of this kind has not occurred since 2003, the firm stated.
