Masterson leads off Dubs' famous five
THE OZO Dub All-Stars selection features five Dublin players who won O'Neill's/TG4 All-Star awards this season.
They include Denise Masterson, who captained the Jackies to their first All-Ireland senior title last September.
She is joined by Siobhan McGrath, Gemma Fay, Amy McGuinness and Sinead Aherne.
Top goalkeeper, Cliodhna O'Connor, is also named.
Many are still mystified as to why she wasn't rewarded with her third All-Star accolade.
Sinead Aherne collected her second. She had the season of her life. Her performance in the All-Ireland final would have Simon Cowell searching deep in his dictionary.
Prospect
On the night the Jackies were feted at Na Fianna, Dublin legend Jimmy Keaveney went out of his way to praise Sinead.
And a compliment from Jem is to be highly prized.
Deirdre Murphy of St Brigid's also gets the call. She was the skipper of the Dublin U16s, the All-Ireland champions.
Also on board is Sarah McCaffrey, Leinster's Young Footballer of the Year. She's a daughter of Noel, the accomplished former Dublin defender.
"We have another super young player in Aisling Ryan. She's a great prospect for Dublin," declares Dub All-Stars manager, Camillus Kilpatrick.
"We feel we have twenty top footballers. It's very much a squad effort, and the five subs will all get half a game," reveals Camillus.
