MALAHIDE Community School are planning a day to remember at Tallaght Stadium next Wednesday, when they take on St Aidan's CC in the FAI Schools Senior Cup All-Ireland Final.

The Cork school are the only obstacle standing between north Dublin side Malahide and their first All-Ireland title.

The Leinster champions, who beat Clonkeen College in the provincial final, saw off Ulster giants Scoil Mhuire of Buncrana in the national semi-final last week.

St Mary's College of Galway were seen off in a penalty shootout, after a 2-2 draw, by Aidan's in the outstanding final-four clash and next week's final is all set.

The entire school and community in Malahide have been boosted by the news that the Dublin venue will host the showpiece.

Pupils, parents and teachers are planning to travel across the M50 for the big game.

Manager Michael O'Sullivan said: "Excitement is really starting to build in the school now.

"I know that friends of the squad are already coordinating chants, so a good day is being planned."
