A crafty Dublin punter gave the bookies a bloody nose, as he turned €50 into more than €41,000 with a monster gamble.
The customer landed a 19-team football accumulator in a huge streak of wins that culminated with Sunderland's narrow defeat of Bury in the League Cup.
The south Dublin punter, who wants to remain anonymous, would have been sweating to the last, as it took a 69th-minute goal from George Honeyman to break lowly Bury's resistance.
Whopping
That result led to Paddy Power paying out a whopping €41,081 on a €50 stake.
The huge punt saw the gambler place the accumulator across a number of different competitions, including the European Super Cup, the English Championship and the Norwegian Eliteserien.
His first selection was Real Madrid in the Super Cup in Skopje on Tuesday night, as the Spanish aristocrats comfortably beat Jose Mourinho's charges.
It wasn't all plain sailing though, as the online customer would have been on the edge of his seat for one result in particular.
Morecambe and his selection Barnsley were locked at 3-3 deep into injury time, only for a late winner from Ryan Hedges in the 95th minute to keep the dream alive.
Remarkable
A spokesperson for Paddy Power said the bookie was tipping its cap to this punter's betting nous.
"I don't use the term often but this is weapons grade punting," he added.
"At this early stage of the season there's little or no form to read into, so to land a 19-team accumulator is genuinely remarkable.
"He may have cleaned us out but we hope that he enjoys his winnings and we're only too happy to pay for the celebrations."
