Former Westlife star Kian Egan has become a father for the second time after wife Jodi Albert gave birth to a boy yesterday.
The Voice of Ireland coach, who is already dad to three-year-old Koa, announced the happy news over Facebook, revealing the couple had named the newborn Zeke.
"Koa got his wish when his baby brother Zeke was born this morning at 7.49am weighing 7lb 13oz," he wrote.
The Sligo singer (35) also mentioned that Zeke shares the same birthday as his actress wife's mother, who passed away earlier this year.
"Sharing the same birthday as Jodi's mum Eileen, the 21st of May," he said.
"Both Jodi and Zeke are doing great. We are all so happy and so in love with him x".
Kian later tweeted the meaning behind the couple's unusual choice of name for the newborn.
"Meaning of the name Zeke is: God strengthens, or may God strengthen," he explained on Twitter.
Some of Kian and Jodi's celebrity friends were quick to offer their congratulations on social media.
The singer's fellow Voice of Ireland coach Una Foden wrote: "Una Foden Congratulations to my lovely friends @JodiAlbert and @KianEganWL on the birth of baby Zeke, X ".
Georgina Ahern, who is married to Kian's former Westlife bandmate Nicky Byrne, also congratulated the pair.
"Congratulations @JodiAlbert @KianEganWL & Koa Welcome to the world baby Zeke Georgina Ahern," she tweeted.
The pair, who have been married since 2009, announced girlband star Jodi was pregnant with their second child late last year with a heartwarming post on Facebook.
Kian shared a video of Koa revealing the news that he was going to become a big brother.
"Mummy's got a baby in her belly and I'm going to be a big brother," the youngster announced.
In recent weeks, Kian has been spoiling his other half as she prepared to give birth. Earlier this month, the star whisked his pregnant wife away for a romantic weekend in the lavish Kilronan Castle in Roscommon to celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary.
