Escape for Easter

For adults, there's the Resort spa, an outdoor hot tub and herb garden, seven treatment rooms, a hamam, hydrobath, Vichy shower and exotic rasul chamber -- or a round of golf.

The two-night Easter package is available from Friday, April 2, to Easter Sunday and includes two nights' bed and breakfast in a superior room and table d'hote evening meal in the River Room restaurant on one evening. Rates are €325 per adult sharing and €50 per child per night in an interconnecting bedroom.

A two-night stay starts from €540 per couple, including full-Irish breakfast each morning and dinner for two in the Sugar Loaf Lounge on one evening. The Gourmet Easter at Gordon Ramsay package starts at €580 per couple. Adjoining guest rooms are available for families.

KERRY: Aghadoe Heights Hotel & Spa has 'Easter in Wonderland' activities, including The Mad Hatter's Tea Party and a Cheshire Cat's Grinning competition. While adults enjoy dinner in the Lake Room restaurant, children will munch Jabberwocky hotdogs watching a movie in the playroom (supervised). The deal, including two nights' bed and breakfast and one three-course table d'hote dinner for adults, is €325 per adult staying in a Lakeside Family Room.

Bewley's Hotels are offering one night's accommodation for two adults and two children and a family pass for Dublin Zoo for €99. Locations include Bewley's Hotel at Dublin Airport, Newlands Cross, Ballsbridge or Leopardstown.

KILLARNEY: Castlerosse Hotel & Golf Resort is offering a three-night stay for two adults and two children with breakfasts and two adult evening meals from €350. Children can enjoy free use of the Castlerangers Kids camp, outdoor playground, basketball, soccer hardcourt and floodlit tennis court. Hotel facilities include a nine-hole golf course, health and leisure spa with a 20m pool, nightly entertainment and a supervised children's programme.

Killarney Park Hotel is offering two nights' stay, including an evening meal, an upgrade to a junior suite and free children's bed and breakfast for €290 per person sharing. Fiona Crowley, founder of The Fiona Crowley Stage School, is offering a school for students of all ages who want to learn the art of stagecraft in a fun and enjoyable environment. These activities include singing, dancing role playing and games. The Easter Bunny will be joined by some of his friends from Alice In Wonderland for an Easter egg hunt, and Alice, the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts will bring the party to life.

Cost per person sharing a deluxe room with access for two children to the activity camp for half a day is €125. Weekly rate is €695 per person based on five nights and full days of activities.

The 'Easter Just for Two' package (€199 per adult) includes a bottle of house wine in your room and personalised Easter eggs. Feast in Darby's restaurant on one night of your choice and enjoy a breakfast on both mornings.

Self-catering breaks are also available.

For grown-ups there's free tai chi and relaxation classes, modern dance lessons, a photo exhibition, make-up classes, cookery demonstration and use of the Sanovitae Health & Leisure Centre.

Two nights' bed and breakfast and one dinner costs €139pps and four nights' bed and breakfast and two dinners costs €269.

The Kids' Club has swimming, games or DVDs while parents can relax in the Aqua & Fitness Centre.

Spend Easter morning browsing the Farmer's Market held on the grounds.

Activities for children include horse -riding in the equestrian centre, a junior golf clinic on the championship course, fishing lessons on the River Nore, pottery classes and a number of other leisure activities.

There is also a fully equipped games room with pool tables, tennis tables and Nintendo Wii consoles.
