Temp Head - www IT might sound like

www IT might sound like a cool underground club but don't let the Science Gallery's new RISK LAB fool you. The temporary exhibition examines our desire to take or avoid risks.

From bad driving to the Lotto, real estate to smoking, we all find it tricky to evaluate risk. The exhibitions will show us emotions, scenarios, and asks how the media skews our assessment of the odds?

So now you have an excuse for bad driving and impulse shopping. Artworks and interactive demonstrations around risk, uncertainty, coincidence and patterns of chance will also give visitors insight into their own ability to assess risk.

• NOTHING gets you in the summer spirits like dining al fresco? The fresh air, the glimpses of sun and plenty of strawberries and cream – delicious! And now The Urban Farm, in association with Centra, are launching Street Feast to encourage people around the country to roll out the picnic basket and unpack the Tupperware on Sunday, June 23. The Urban Farm is looking for communities and friends to hold their very own street festival. It is a rooftop garden on the top of Dublin's Chocolate Factory Building that specialises in growing their own herbs, leaves and harvesting honey.

• IF you want to de-clutter and re-vamp your wardrobe then it's worth swinging by the RDS for the annual Buy My Dress on May 26.

Now in its fifth year, the charity clothes swap gives you the chance to ditch your glad rags that no longer do it for you and load up on nearly-new finds.

A ton of celebs including Amy Huberman, Yvonne Keating (left) and Victoria Smurfit have already donated their threads – which adds a bit of glamour. All proceeds go to The Down Syndrome Centre and shoppers are treated to a glass of bubbles on the door. Entry is €5.

• ZOE Reardon is not only part of trendy indie outfit Maud in Cahoots – she's also an up-and-coming director and her latest staging of The Lesson at the Project Arts Centre is already creating quite a buzz. Written in 1951 by Eugene Ionesco, The Lesson is a classic of absurdist theatre. With Zoe's dad Dan Reardon in the lead role and a strong cast, this is set to be a great night at the theatre. It opens on May 14.
