Suzanne turns a new page in bid for book success

SHE went from being a redundant college drop out to a top model - but now Suzanne Jackson has become a published author.

The Dubliner is ready to read the reviews, as she prepares to take the literary world by storm.

The queen bee of the beauty blogging world has penned a book based on her website So Sue Me. Suzanne launched the glossy book So Sue Me: Secrets to Blogging, Fashion and Beauty this week and said writing it was a labour of love.

"I naively thought it was going to be a bed of roses writing a book, but it was so tough," she told The Herald.

"I had three months to write the entire thing. I had no idea how draining it was going to be, I turned into a bit of a moody bitch when I was writing it," she laughed.

Skerries native Suzanne was approached by publishers Blackwater Press in April after they noticed her fun and glitzy website. "I set the blog up in 2010," she explained. "It came out of a pretty dark place.

"I hit a low point in 2009, I had been working for a HR company but was made redundant. Obviously I was really upset and felt demoralised."

"After that, I got a job working as a receptionist at 98FM, it wasn't ideal but I thought I might as well make the most of it," she added.

"So I started going to a few red carpet events and blogging about them as a hobby but it really took off." And it wasn't long before the self confessed beauty junkie started writing about blushers and bronzers.

"I've always loved make-up. I loved watching my mum getting ready when I was a kid," she said.

Now over 305,000 people read her blog on a monthly basis.
