Ronan Keating: I'm glad ex-wife Yvonne decided to ditch my name and use her own

Singer Ronan Keating thinks it’s “great” his ex-wife Yvonne Connolly has started using her maiden name again.
The Boyzone singer (38) and the model split in 2011 after it was revealed Ronan had an affair with dancer Francine Cornell.
After finalising their divorce this year, former Masterchef Ireland contestant Yvonne recently changed her name from Keating to Connolly, a decision her pop star ex is supportive of.
“It’s her decision – it’s great. Good on her,” Ronan told the Herald.
The Dublin crooner is set to marry his Australian fiancee, Storm Uechtritz in Scotland on August 21.
“All of our families are going to be there – everyone. Rather than doing it in Australia or in Ireland we said we’d go to neutral ground and meet there. It’s a very special place for us,” he explained.
The couple are rumoured to be saying ‘I do’ in the lavish surroundings of Balmoral Castle, but Ronan was keeping tight-lipped on the location of their upcoming nuptials.
“It’s up there somewhere, I’m not saying anything,” he said.
Reception
The Dubliner is currently touring with Boyzone along with working on new solo music.
Ronan is leaving most of the wedding planning to his other half, but says he might belt out some classic Boyzone hits during the reception.
“I’m just in charge of the music and entertainment. Maybe Boyzone will perform – we’ll all be there so it would be rude not to do something,” he said.
The couple are known for regularly posting excessively sweet tributes to one another on their social media accounts, but Ronan said their relationship isn’t so perfect in reality.
“We have disagreements and we don’t always see eye to eye, but that’s the way couples should be,” he said.
“We have our opinions and we’re both very creatively minded so sometimes we can clash, but there’s nothing but love for each other there.”
After their wedding, the pair hope to relocate to Ireland to be close to Ronan’s children Jack (16), Missy (14) and Ali (9).
“We’re looking for a house at the moment. It’s very hard – there’s nothing here, we’re really struggling,” he said.
