Question of the week: For the past few years, I have walked the mini marathon but this year I want to run. What should I do?
Is there a Fit4Life Meet & Train group in your area? Then join it! These groups, many of them in existence since the early days of the mini marathon, can offer advice and support plus well-structured training schedules.
If you can't find a group, then set up one of your own. Ask family members, friends or work colleagues to join in and go from there -- and let us know!
If you are on your own, try running for two minutes and walking for two minutes until you can keep going for half an hour. By that stage, you should be able to follow the training schedules summarised elsewhere on this page and available in full on the Flora Women's Mini Marathon website.
