KEEPING an active toddler entertained can be tough for any mother.
But working mum and presenter Laura Woods has found the perfect recipe for making sure her son Ben is happy.
The three-year-old tot is a budding baker, according to his proud mum.
"Baking is certainly something that keeps him happy," Laura told the Herald. "He is as impatient as me waiting for everything to be ready and he loves licking the spoon."
The mum-of-two, whose second son Alex was born in April, is back at work with TV3's Ireland AM and Corporate Profiles, her online video firm with Brian Ormond.
However, the 35-year-old says spending quality time in the kitchen with her young sons is her main aim.
"Sometimes I am too busy, but most of the time I just work a three-day week so Monday and Friday is my fun time with the boys," she explained.
The former RTE star was on hand yesterday with cute son Ben to help launch the new tasty range from top baker Betty Crocker, which includes everything from a classic carrot cake to a chocolate swirl cake.
While she is dab hand in the kitchen, when it comes to whipping up cakes and buns, Laura is out of her depth.
"I really like cooking so I am quite good at that, but I am not the best baker so Betty Crocker comes in handy," she said.
