High Protein Diet

Rosanna Davison (29), model, nutritionist, and Herald columnist

"I've always been fascinated by human physiology and how we can use food to change our mood, improve our health and quality of life. I've tried every type of diet going as a result. This was born out of curiosity rather than a huge desire for weight loss, but I'm glad I've done them because now I'm able to advise nutrition clients on what can work best or what results to expect, based on personal experience as well as scientific research.

"The worst one I ever tried was a high-protein, low-carbohydrate diet. I ate loads of egg whites, tofu, whey protein powder and a small amount of green vegetables. It made me feel really tired and drained, plus I got terrible headaches and mood swings. Never again."
