My health: Tara Leniston

I try to get to the gym two to three times a week, but I walk every day.

Do you take vitamins or supplements?

Since having my son Dylan, I have found my immune system has been low and I have been susceptible to colds and flu, so I have been taking a vitamin C tablet and a multivitamin. I've been taking folic acid since I found out I was pregnant and I haven't stopped. A health-food adviser once told me that any woman who has children or is thinking about having children in the next few years should take folic acid as it isn't found in many foods and it is vital to help grow a baby. I also swear it's made my hair stronger.

Have you ever been in hospital?

Yes, I've been to hospital a few times, unfortunately, (see below).

What was your worst illness?

Probably when I had a cyst that burst. That and when my appendix ruptured, I thought I had food poisoning. I was told that I had a kidney infection so I left it, thinking I would get better, but two days later I got brought into ER and after they operated on me they told me that my appendix perforated and I'd almost died.

If I have a cold or flu, probably Panadol Cold and Flu and lots of green tea with manuka honey.

Would you get your five a day?

Honestly? No, but if fruit and nut chocolate counts then I do!

Any vices?

Chocolate is my biggest vice . . . and red wine.

Ever dieted?

I have been on a diet since I was 15 sporadically, but, again, since being pregnant and having Dylan I've stopped all that. Now I need all the energy I can get!

Thankfully, no.

How many hours sleep would you get a night?

We're still not getting much at the moment. Maybe six hours on and off.

Do you have any health goals?

I really want to make a conscious effort toget my five-a-day and to cut out white bread, pasta, etc.

Do you smoke or have you ever smoked?

No, I don't smoke, never have.

What is your favourite leisure activity?

I love going for walks with Dylan and my fiance Andrew. It usually involves stopping somewhere for a lovely lunch, too.
