What was the last thing you ate?

Birthday cake, here in the workroom of the shop with the girls. It was homemade by my mum and fabulous.

Do you go to the gym or classes?

I go to the gym once a week for a one-to-one session. I try and get to a yoga or Zumba class once a week but that doesn't always happen, and not at all recently with all my spare time dedicated to designing my competition piece.

Do you take vitamins or supplements?

I take calcium supplements as I don't eat much dairy. If we are coming up to a peak period, such as Valentine's Day or a competition such as the RHS Chelsea Florist of the Year, I take a multivitamin to boost my system.

What foods always go in your trolley?

Usually Pink Lady apples and blueberries, rocket, peppers and pasta.

Have you ever been in hospital?

Thankfully, not for anything serious. In Australia I had an allergic reaction, and another time I had a small cyst removed.

What was your worst illness?

The allergic reaction which turned out to be food allergies. I have a long list of things I'm allergic to including potatoes and bananas.

What is your favourite cure?

For a cold it's hot lemon honey and ginger, and for anything else it's sleep!

Would you get your five a day?

I try, if I start the day with fruit I usually manage to keep going. However, working long hours with events or weddings to set up, sometimes the good habits go out the window and the biscuits creep in.

What is your favourite meal to cook?

Quick and simple stir fries with lots of fresh veggies.

Any vices?

Coffee and cake. Working long days, food is often the last thing on your mind so often it's lunch on the run.

Ever dieted?

Yes, WeightWatchers. This worked great for me, as it really made me look at what I was consuming and then to make clear decisions about what I was going to eat and to plan my meals.

Any family ailments?

Heart disease sadly runs in the family.

How many hours of sleep do you get?

Usually about seven. But early mornings are part of a florist's life.

Do you have any health goals?

To stay happy and healthy.
