A new way to balance skincare

MADE in the UK, Balance Me is an award-winning, high-performance skincare range designed to bring skin back into balance.

For British sisters Rebecca (who used to work at L'Oreal) and Clare Hopkins, and their friend Sian Jones (who used to work at Marks & Spencer), creating Balance Me was not just about spying a gap in the market for a simple, affordable and luxurious aromatherapy-based bath and body range, it was a chance to change the way they lived their lives.

Founded in 2005 after a major high street retailer requested 200 exfoliating polishes for the VIPs attending their shoe department launch, Balance Me was given its first concession in the same store later that year.

Since then, Balance Me has been creating high-performance skincare products and has picked up 19 awards and received industry-expert recommendations.

The natural products offer skin-boosting benefits and therapeutic properties to protect skin from daily wear and tear. The formulations are full of pure natural actives and extracts as well as modern blends of essential oils to optimise wellbeing and skin's natural beauty.

The brand expanded this year to include daily essentials, extra care products, treatments and skin saviours. There's a simple, daily, two-step skincare regime to keep skin gently cleansed, hydrated and balanced according to skin type and the treatment ranges help to boost moisture, tackle the signs of ageing and help restore skin's natural lustre.

The fans: Claudia Schiffer is a fan and some big names in the beauty press, including Vogue Beauty Director Nicola Moulton, love the range. Balance Me has also won a host of awards, including two in Jo Fairley and Sarah Stacey's acclaimed Anti-Ageing Beauty Bible.

If you buy just one product: The Radiance Face Oil (£30, approx €36) is a must. Highly emollient yet easily-absorbed, the 100pc naturally active oil feeds skin, restoring brightness and suppleness. It's suitable for all skin types and is especially good to use extreme climates or weather conditions (such as an Irish winter!) to help protect and restore skin.

Where to get it: You can get the brand online at www.balanceme.co.uk and from TV shopping channel QVC, www.qvcuk.com

The price: Prices for Balance Me products range from €9 to €36.
