have you got the look to shoot, style or star in a fashion campaign?

INTERACTIVITY with the audience is where it's at for most big brands these days and fashion is no different. For the fourth year in a row Oasis will search out young talent to make a campaign shoot for the label - the winning entry will be launched at the 'Oasis 20 Year Birthday Party' on November 27 and appear in Irish stores.

This year's competition, entitled 'Oasis Shoot/Style/Smile', has kicked off with a televised search (on Ireland AM) for up-and-coming Irish talent across three disciplines: photography, styling and modelling, challenging each to collaborate together to shoot, style or model the final Oasis campaign.

Two teams will make it to the final to go head-to-head to each create their own Oasis campaign using the same studio, props, tools and equipment.

An expert panel of judges, with a wealth of fashion styling, fashion photography and fashion casting experience, will determine who walks away with this incredible prize.

Ian Galvin, chairman of Oasis Fashions Ireland, will be joined by Bairbre Power, Fashion Editor of The Irish Independent including its Weekend Magazine, and stylist and author Lisa Fitzpatrick.

Other fashion industry stalworths, including fashion photographer Lili Forberg and model agency owner Andrea Roche, will also be teaming up with the judges to mentor and advise contestants through the tasks.

Fashion is a seriously tough industry to get into, it always has been and even participating in an experience such as this will help anyone who enters get a real glimpse of what a career in fashion takes.

The winner of last year's competition 'Design Your Future', Catherine Kelly (pictured below) from Ennis, Co Clare, bagged herself a year of in-house training at Oasis' Head Office in fashionable Shoreditch, East London, shadowing Oasis design director Clive Reeve. Catherine is currently enjoying her last few months on the Oasis design team in London finalising her seven-piece capsule collection which will launch across Ireland at the end of the year.

Over the next four weeks, Oasis will be looking for up-and-coming photographers, stylists and models to take part. If you think you have what it takes and want to unleash your creative beast visit: www.oasis-stores.co.uk/shootstylesmile.
