David Kane, from Goatstown in Dublin 14, is the Herald's Junior Cert student columnist for 2010.
David attends St Killian's German School in Clonskeagh and will sit 11 higher level subjects in his exams.
Speaking ahead of tomorrow's first exam, he said he is "not very nervous" but eager to get the exams underway.
Day one will include English paper one in the morning and paper two in the afternoon. English is one of David's favourite subjects and his English teacher put him forward for the Herald's Junior Cert diary.
Described as a student "who is good at everything", David insists he is just as anxious as his peers to get the exams out of the way so he can enjoy his summer holidays.
David performed very well in his mocks earlier this year, so he is hoping for good results that will ensure he can continue studying his favourite subjects at honours level for his Leaving Cert.
