Being aware is half the battle

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Each year Action Breast Cancer in conjunction with the Irish Cancer Society wants every woman in Ireland to become breast aware.

Being breast aware means knowing what is normal for you so that if any unusual change occurs, you will recognise it.

The sooner you notice a change the better, because if cancer is found early, treatment is more likely to be successful.
