Lego shows appeal as most popular hand-me-down toy
Lego is the "heritage" toy most likely to be passed on to future generations.
Children can also expect to be given their parents' teddy bears, Rubik's Cube and doll's house, a survey to mark the DVD release of Toy Story 3 found.
Other favourites include Barbie and Ken dolls, Matchbox cars, Scalextric, train sets, rag dolls and marbles.
Two-thirds of adults said they wanted to pass on their childhood toys to their own offspring and 42pc said their children owned at least one toy that was originally theirs.
