Laura leads the way at London Fashion Week

LAURA Whitmore appears to have mastered the perfect pose for London Fashion Week.

The MTV presenter from Bray stood out in a two-tone cream lace and grey silk dress as she bagged a front row seat for the Bora Aksu show last night.

Glamour girl Kelly Brook also turned up on day one of a week of high fashion.

One of this season's most hotly anticipated shows will be a catwalk comeback by Irish milliner Philip Treacy.

Treacy, who has made hats for Sarah Jessica Parker, Madonna, Lady Gaga and Britain's royals, is returning to the runway for the first time in almost a decade.

This season's fashion week -- which runs until Tuesday -- will see shows outside the main catwalk venues streamed live on the internet for the first time.

A host of famous faces are expected to grace the front rows, with House of Holland, Vivienne Westwood and Acne expected to attract some of the biggest names.

A number of designers favoured by the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton will also be putting on shows.

They inclulde Issa London, Mulberry, Erdem and Burberry, but the Royal will not be attending as she is currently on a tour of South East Asia and the South Pacific.

Her sister Pippa Middleton was spotted on the front row at the Temperley show in September last year.

Visitors from many countries routinely flock to the city for the biannual fashion week, one of the highest-profile fashion events in the world.

It is classed as one of the "big four" fashion weeks around the globe, alongside New York, Paris and Milan.

More than 80 designers are expected to showcase their latest collections, with cutting edge labels PPQ, Meadham Kirchhoff, Louise Gray and Erdem touted as the hottest tickets.
