Lady Gaga jets in and her 'Little Monsters' can't wait to see her

Wacky Lady Gaga has jetted into Dublin to bring her ARTPOP Ball concert to her legions of Irish fans.

And hordes of her 'Little Monsters', as she calls them, waited outside the Four Seasons hotel in the rain last night, desperately hoping for a glimpse of their idol.

During one of her previous visits to the capital, the 28-year-old booked into one of the plushest suites in the Ballsbridge hotel and took over several rooms for her entourage.

While she was staying there in October 2010, the big-hearted singer sent her security guard down with a tray of hot chocolate to warm up her fans.

OUTLANDISH

Renowned for her outlandish tastes, her concert rider for tonight's show includes some interesting items, among them peanut butter with flax seeds and "no more than 4g of sugar".

She has also asked for black satin drapes in her room, silver satin sheets, posters of Elton John, David Bowie and Queen and fan art.

She has been touring the show promoting her third album since last May and has been receiving great reviews from her adoring fans, having played in Birmingham earlier this week.

It has already spawned hit singles including Applause and Do What U Want.

Irish fans are in for a real treat when she takes to the stage at the 3Arena this evening, given her dizzying array of costume changes, huge troupe of dancers and elaborate stage production.

A regular visitor to these shores, the New York native has spoken before about how Irish whiskey is her favourite tipple - and she loves guys with Irish accents.

During her 2012 performance at the Aviva, she was seen swigging from a bottle of Jameson on stage.

She also told thousands of fans how she wrote better music while drinking it.

"I have made so much of my music with Jameson. I'm not being paid a cent to advertise the whiskey. I should be. The whiskey has made my new songs," she said.
