Kinsealy couple organise fundraiser for Rotunda in honour of late son

KINSEALY locals Marc and Melissa Laycock are organising a second fundraiser for their late son Mark.

Baby Mark was just five days old when he passed away because of a rare kidney disorder last May.

"This is our way of keeping his name alive," dad Marc told the Herald.

"But it's also a way for us to raise funds for the Rotunda after seeing first-hand the amazing work that they do.

"Staff in the ICU did so much for Mark, we'll never forget it," he said.

The family are hosting a quiz night in The Ploughman Pub in Kinsealy on Saturday 18 July at 7.45pm.

Tickets cost €10 and include finger food and a free drink.

A five-a-side soccer tournament is also taking place earlier in the day, kicking off at noon in DCU.
