Kidnap horror kept from victim's girl (9)

THE nine-year-old daughter of a man who was abducted from an inner city street still doesn't know he's missing.

Ciaran Noonan's heartbroken mother opened the family's photo album to the Herald today in a bid to help track down any information on her 29-year-old son.

Geraldine Noonan has barely eaten or slept since Ciaran was chased by a gang of men in East Wall, beaten with an iron bar and bundled into the back of a car last Thursday.

"It's the not knowing that is the worst thing. We still can't tell his own daughter. How do you tell a nine-year-old girl her daddy is gone?" she asked.

Dignity

Gardai believe he was brutally murdered over a drug debt.

The car was found last Saturday in Ashbourne with blood stains in the back.

"I just want him back, for his own dignity," said Geraldine.

"When I'm out with my husband Willie I find myself looking for Ciaran's face in the crowds. Now we've had to submit DNA to the guards so they can make sure the blood in the car is Ciaran's. It's just dreadful,"

Geraldine previously told the Herald that Ciaran's life has been in danger before over drug debts, and that she and the family have paid debts for him.

A woman in her late 20s who was arrested in Blanchardstown on Monday was released without charge last night after being questioned about withholding information in the case.

The Herald has previously revealed that a convicted killer, based in Swords, ordered Ciaran's abduction.
