Jenny and Siobhan whipping up a storm for charity cooking night

Their last charity encounter involved skimpy shorts, a boxing ring and a few nasty bruises.

But now domestic goddesses Jenny Buckley and Siobhan O'Connor are teaming up to form a tasty tag-team in a bid to wow their celebrity pals.

Exactly two years after the best pals went head-to-head in a charity boxing match; the blonde beauties are joining forces again and putting their culinary skills to the test for a good cause.

The Diary can reveal that former No Frontiers presenter Jenny and 98FM showbiz reporter Siobhan will be the commis chefs in Wright's popular Findlaters restaurant in Howth on Thursday night.

And Jenny revealed that she and Siobhan will be just as competitive in the kitchen as they were in the boxing ring.

"Siobhan and I are very competitive. If she says she's made a Pavlova then I'll make a sponge cake. We're always like that.

"We're doing three courses for 80 people and all of the proceeds are going to St Francis' Hospice in Raheny.

"Siobhan was involved before me and asked me to do it with her. The head chef Paul will be on hand to help us out but I'm very confident it will go well because I love cooking."

Their menu will feature tasty favourites including bruschetta, cod and beef.

But despite being a dab hand in the kitchen, Jenny admitted she still feels under pressure for the evening to go well.

"It's all family and friends so we know most of the people who are coming but I think that adds more pressure than cooking for strangers.

"Hopefully it will be an amazing night," she said, adding there will be loads of spot prizes including Shakira tickets and Clarins hampers.

Jenny was determinedly tightlipped when asked whether any of her and Siobhan's celebrity pals will be dining at the event.

But a source close to the pair revealed: "There will be loads of well known faces going. Jenny and Siobhan are both very well connected so everyone from Pippa O'Connor and Brian Ormond to Kathryn Thomas and Leah Arnold have been invited."

However, Jenny, who once dated Colin Farrell, insisted: "We're still trying to figure out numbers and who can come."
