Jedward's hair stays on hold as their stylist hits America with One Direction

POP sensations Jedward and One Direction are battling it out for one woman's attention -- their hairdresser.

Lucan twins John and Edward Grimes get their trademark locks cut and styled by Louise Teasdale, who also trims the hairdos of Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson.

And the Dublin twins, who have been working with Louise since their time on the X Factor in 2009, have been left without the help of their scissor-wielding friend while the mum-of-one is on tour with 1D in the US.

And not only does Louise look after the two chart-topping acts, she is also in charge of keeping fellow X Factor graduate Olly Murs' hair in tiptop shape.

An insider told the Herald that Waterline singers John and Edward wouldn't let anyone else maintain their famous tresses.

"She's the only person they trust to do their hair. If she's not available, they just do it themselves because they won't go to anybody else.

"Louise is due back from America in two weeks, so she'll be cutting the boys' hair then. They're more than happy to wait, they always know what to expect and she does it exactly how they like."

Jedward were hard at work yesterday on a promotional commercial for this year's Late Late Toy Show stateside.

The boys took over well-known Florida tourist attractions Seaworld and Busch Gardens for the afternoon, to film scenes for the RTE programme's children's Christmas special hosted by Ryan Tubridy.

They didn't hang around for long though, and were back on a flight to Ireland today to gear up for this weekend's Westlife extravaganza.

The high-kicking twosome are preparing to take to the stage as one of the support acts for the Westlife's final gigs in Croke Park.

The Wanted are also billed as special guests for the highly-anticipated occasion.
