'I've got three job offers' - sacked ex-mayor Royston
FORMER city mayor Royston Brady is mulling over three job proposals after being sacked as manager of a four-star country club.
But Mr Brady -- who became a father for the third time last month -- is maintaining his silence about whether or not he intends to run in the mayoral election.
His former employers at Roganstown Hotel and Country Club suggested that Mr Brady's "focus was elsewhere" in his final months as the general manager at the Swords hotel.
A document found on a work laptop outlined a media strategy for the election but today Mr Brady said its leaking to the media was an attempt to "muddy the water".
He is at loggerheads with hotel bosses over allegations that wedding couples were charged for bar extension licences that were never applied for.
Mr Brady was sacked over the impropriety but maintains he is being punished for being a whistleblower.
Today, he told the Herald that he was fully focused on his work and was praised by some directors before discovering the irregularities about bar extensions.
"There is no record of any meetings or warnings.
"If it was a performance thing then I'm entitled to due process," he said.
He added: "This week I've had three solid proposals put to me. So I'll make a decision on them in the coming weeks.
"I'm just enjoying having time with the kids, especially the new arrival," he said.
