It's seventh heaven for Dublin crackshot Crangle

Niall Scully

DUBLIN'S John Crangle has come in at number seven on the Order of Merit.

The talented Loughlinstown performer is the only player from the capital to make the top ten.

He had another sparkling season. It included finishing runner-up in the National Matchplay Championship.

Crangle was also selected on the Dublin side that finished third in the Inter-County Championship.

Cork, on home turf at St Anne's, took the crown for an eighth successive time. Kerry were runners-up.

It was 1999 when Dublin were last All-Ireland champions.

The Dubs will be hoping to close that gap when they host the Inter-County Championships in Portmarnock next summer.

Cork will still be the team to beat.

They have Ireland's number one seeded player in John Collins.
