MANCHESTER UNITED'S Michael Carrick has dismissed claims that the Old Trafford club already have the Premier League title secured thanks to their 12-point lead.

And Manchester City 'keeper Joe Hart has weighed in by promising that his club will "keep fighting" to keep hold of their title.

United may hold the advantage with only 11 games to go but Carrick insists that the squad will not allow complacency creep into their game.

"We're trying the best we can to block out talk of the title being won already," he said.

"We have a job to do and the manager has said we need to think game to game and just win the next match. You can't look too far ahead because it can come back and bite you."

Hart admits that catching United won't be easy but pledged to continue the fight.

"Even if there is one game to go and we are 12 points behind, we'll still believe. We've got to keep fighting, you never know. We have just got to keep going," Hart said.

"It's going to be really hard, we've got a lot to do but we're going to have a damn good go at doing it."
